The white blazer

The white jeans

Opening my closet door there are two things I find most. Aside from all the miscellaneous things and some pairs of old Converse (I can’t get rid of them!) white and black elements are the majority of my closet. Of course, I still have colorful things like every shade of red possible, including 2015’s color of the year, Marsala. But one of the most basic colors that are the root foundation of fashion are white and black, think Chanel.

Let’s understand the importance of white in your wardrobe this summer, not only a white t-shirt with a cool pair of jeans. I’m talking about a full blown white outfit, head to toe my dear. Yes, even your mani and pedi!

White is an achromatic color, literally a “color without color” composed of all frequencies of the light of the visible spectrum. It’s known to be the most common and natural colors of Earth’s nature. The color of milk, your bed sheets and also the sparkly white unicorn that lives within you. Ok, I think I’m a little bit too excited about this all white trend, I don’t think it’s tacky at all. You sure have to be careful when you match different whites and textures to complete an outfit. Sometimes an all-white outfit can be overwhelming to the eye. That’s the perfect time to bring out those accessories. Grab those black stilettos (my second favorite color), a neutral or blush bag and tortoise sunglasses. I personally love to complete my all white look with camel sandals and small gold accessories, such as midi rings (find hand made original rings on and a few arm candy. Cartier please??

There are many interesting ways to wear white. One of which, Rihanna wore a completely white outfit on a very gloomy rainy day. Or how Kendall Jenner wears white jeans in the Californian winter and Gigi Hadid throwing it back with a white fresh outfit for a day with her boy. The bottom line is, there are different ways of wearing white, for many different occasions. The trick is just owning such a bold color and making it, simply put, you.

One of the most important things about wearing all white is sticking to the basics. White is a fundamental shade, which can be mastered by anyone. All you have to do is add an accent color, like black, cherry red, or even cobalt blue. You can also stick to neutrals; beige, blush, grey or camel.  Make yourself stand out from the crowd. Show your true colors!
